Maybe it’s the biologist in me, but I cannot get enough plant life. There’s peace in the woods when life’s noise gets to be too much.

I love to see the streams of light that flicker down through the canopy. The soft crunch of leaves and bracken. The world of the woods that exists without humans is amazing to behold. An entire universe that flows around, through, and between our everyday world.

Nature brings out the artist in me and I love to look at the wonders it has to offer.

Bonus points, plants don’t move (much) and make great subjects for photos.

You can see some of my favorites in my portfolio here.

Watching nature unfold in the spring just feels….refreshing! It’s like hope and gentle warmth interspersed with rain and mud. Secretly (or not so secretly) - I enjoy all these elements.

The daily changes around you as you walk familiar paths or hikes is so fascinating. I strongly recommend you take time to slow down your walk and look around at the wakening woods.

It’s awesome in the real sense of the word.

Everyone has a favorite time of year (or more than one).

What is your favorite time of year?

What scenes do you love to capture?

Cheers.
